THE FORMAT, EXPLAINED

One source.
Many ways to tell it.

Clipping means editing permitted source material into short videos. In a BloxAds campaign, each creator follows the brief, publishes their own edit and submits its public link for review.

What can be a source?

A gameplay recording, studio trailer or stream highlight can be source material when the campaign owner has permission to share it for that purpose. A video being publicly available is not permission to reuse it.

How is UGC different?

UGC in this context starts with footage the creator records. Clipping starts with supplied footage. Both can use the same campaign workflow; the brief should state which approach is allowed.

What makes an edit useful?

Give the viewer one reason to keep watching: a mechanic, close finish, challenge or unexpected result. The creator can change structure, captions and pacing while keeping the game and required information accurate.

How does a paid campaign work?

  1. The studio sets a brief, platform, creator reward pool, rate and cap.
  2. An approved creator accepts the brief and reserves a funded clip slot.
  3. The creator publishes eligible content and submits the public link.
  4. The team reviews the clip and records final eligible views after the measurement window.
  5. Approved earnings become available for payout requests. Transfers are processed separately.

Views and players are different metrics.

Video views describe content exposure. Visits and new players describe activity in the game’s acquisition reports. Use Roblox Share Links and matching date ranges to give the comparison context. BloxAds records these acquisition counts manually.
